About me
Brandon Morgan Kyle Cole loves vacationing with his wife Sylvia of 8 years who is expecting their second child in February 2018 and his beautiful daughter Emily. Brandon found his passion for art on the Norwegian Cruise ship Pride of America. At the time Brandon was stationed in Hawaii as a Federal Police Officer and wanted to see the other islands and what better way than a cruise to all the major islands than an all expenses paid cruise. While on the cruise Brandon and Sylvia found themselves at the final art auction by Park West Art Gallery. Neither one of them had intentions of buying any art but they sure did enjoy the free champagne.
Sylvia found a sea turtle art print that she wanted, so they bid on it and won. During the checkout process the Park West staff member asked if there were any other pieces they wanted to collect and Brandon said, "Yeah, if I could afford them, I'd love to get a few." The staff member told Brandon that the lady who had won the final raffle prize of a $500 bid credit wasn't going to use it and said that if he found a piece he wanted he could use the bid credit. Brandon went straight to the first piece he saw and that was an artist proof canvas print of Michael Godard's 19th Hole and it hangs in their home still to this day.
The Hawaii cruise was the start of art collecting for Brandon, but the cruise they took just before Emily was born to Alaska as a little "Baby-moon" was what started it all. Brandon and Sylvia found themselves going to every art event that Park West offered on board the NCL Sun. Brandon fully immersed himself into a whole new world of not only art history, learning about the great masters and being able to see works of Rembrandt, Picasso, and Chagall, but new works by artist Patrick Guyton, Peter Max, and David Lebo who he has meet on a few occasions now. Works by these artist inspired him to try his own hand at painting in which he discovered a natural hidden talent.
Brandon fell in love with painting and soon every square inch of their 1,200 square foot home in Hawaii was covered in art work. He painted patriotic pieces, landscapes, Italian mask, and anything his heart lead him to. It wasn't until a young US Navy Sailor asked Brandon to paint a piece for him that things changed yet again. Brandon happily painted the piece for the sailor but every time the sailor tried to pay Brandon, he wouldn't tell him a price because he was just happy that someone wanted his art work. Brandon and the sailor finally settled on letting the sailor pay something to which the sailor had to pick the price on the original oil painted on a 10"x10" canvas, which was $100. Brandon was ecstatic and has been creating art for all to share and enjoy just as much as he enjoyed the first time someone showed appreciation for his work.
So we ask that you collect with a smile and only the pieces you love as there is only one Brandon MK Cole who wishes he could paint more hours than there are in a day. We hope you enjoy his images and follow us to see what his next creation will turn up.
